agc_driver_graphics (BdaResources.cpp), each failing without its change:
- a view in the last window of a range whose first window was imported
binds through an import of the whole range;
- an address-based build over the budget leaves the range's window in
place (3 builds, same import);
- two uses across neighbouring cell edges share one import over 10
rounds;
- a range mapped at the budget is refused at map time and retires
nothing.
agc_driver_host_import_windows: windows follow their range, and
ClearHostImports drops them.
A direct memory page mapped at one guest address now lives in private
MEM_WRITE_WATCH memory at that address, and its writes are collected with
GetWriteWatch like flexible memory: no fault is raised. A page mapped at a
second address moves its whole resident run into the section, behind a
read-only fence while it is copied, and every address becomes a view of it,
tracked by write protection. Unmapped resident pages that are not blank are
kept in a private reservation until they are mapped again, not in the
section.
Ported onto main's 4 KiB subpage tracking of shared views: resident runs
keep a per-page collected bit and enter the fresh ranges, so Fresh and
Armed collections select them like shared views; a demoted run carries its
collected bits into the views and reports every page once. MapAlias throws
through refuse() when a resident run extends outside the aliased range, and
the caller keeps main's fallback.

A partially resident snapshot cannot be reused from committed write stamps while a recorder batch still owns an overlapping completion store. Make that case compare through the guest-memory flush hook before deciding whether the snapshot is unchanged.
Cover copied completion stores in both open and submitted batches, then verify that unchanged snapshots are reused and an unrelated pending write does not synchronize. The focused regression fails on the published PR head and passes with the guard. The existing fully committed snapshot path is unchanged.

A sampled texture over a partially resident surface (a texture array whose
heap the guest commits on demand) never got a write generation: CollectWrites
fails on a range with reserved pages, so every cache hit compared the whole
committed part with its snapshot. CollectCommittedWrites collects the
committed runs one by one and returns the runs with the generation; the cache
entry records them, and a hit skips the compare only when the committed runs
are the same and UnchangedCommittedSince holds over them. A commit, decommit,
view mapping or unmapping inside the surface changes the runs or stamps the
new pages, so it is compared as before.

The 9-word kernel #3816 matches stores one dword per thread, loaded with
s_buffer_load_dword through the descriptor in user[4..7]. Run as a
compute dispatch, its stores are pending writes of unknown value, so a
later read of DCC keys in that range waits for the GPU.
fillBuffer now takes it as a uniform buffer fill when all of these hold:
- the output descriptor's format is 32_UINT, 32_SINT or 32_FLOAT (20-22),
so buffer_store_format_x stores the loaded dword unchanged;
- the value descriptor covers the loaded dword: num_records times the
stride (num_records alone when the stride is 0) is at least 4 bytes,
the range the recompiler gives a scalar buffer load;
- exactly 8 user SGPRs and group id X enabled, so the group id is s8;
- a direct, non-partial dispatch, 64x1x1 threads, one group in Y and Z,
and a 16-byte aligned range of whole 16-byte units.
The value is read when the fill is recorded, after the labels queued
before it, as the pattern-fill kernel's source is. When the value is one
byte repeated and that byte is a DCC key code, the fill goes into the GPU
key-store memo whatever ClassifyFill reports: the memo answers a key
read only while this fill is still the newest pending write over the
keys, and a fill over a color target's keys is not a storage image's
keys fill.

A 2D array storage view of a depth plane from slice 0 threw. It now gets
a storage image over all its slices: each slice with a depth surface at
the plane's address plus a whole depth slice per layer is copied from
that surface before every use and back after the work; the other slices
hold guest memory like any storage image. Cubes, stencil arrays, later
base slices and layer pitches other than the depth slice size still
throw.

v_cvt_f32_ubyte0 accepts every SDWA source selector, but the other three byte
conversions had no VOP1 SDWA rule, so any SDWA source select on them was refused
("VOP1 SDWA source selector 4 of opcode 0x12 at pc 0xfcc is not supported").
The selected and optionally sign-extended source goes through the same operand
path as for ubyte0 before byte N is extracted: SDWA supplies source 0 (RDNA 2 ISA
guide 6.8 and 13.3.7) and the opcode reads S0.u[8N+7:8N] (12.8).
agc_driver_sdwa_cvt_f32_ubyte: WORD_0 and WORD_1 selects on ubyte1, and
sign-extended WORD_1 and BYTE_3 selects on ubyte2 and ubyte3.
A draw with VGT_TF_PARAM.PARTITIONING 0 (PART_INTEGER) was refused by the
state decoder and its hull and domain programs by the recompiler. It is now
drawn with Vulkan's equal spacing, the mode radeonsi programs as
PART_INTEGER, with tessellation factors bounded at 64 instead of
fractional-odd's 63. Power-of-two and fractional-even partitioning still
throw.

A draw whose key has no entry captured its stages, built a variant per
stage (a copy of every captured region) and inserted a draw entry. A key
that never comes back paid for the variants and the entry for nothing,
and its entry pushed a live one out of the cache. Draws whose user data
changes every frame are such keys.
The driver now remembers the keys it has seen once, in a table of
four-way buckets holding four times the cache's size in keys. A key gets
its entry at its second sight; a key that already has an entry still
takes new variants at once. A full bucket replaces its oldest key, so
keys that share a bucket do not push each other out until more than four
of them come between two sights of one.
Test: agc_driver_draw_cache_reuse draws three times. The first two draws
find no entry, one entry is inserted, and the third draw hits it. A
sighting table of one bucket keeps two keys drawn in turn and replaces
its oldest key when full.
A formatted store of an 8- or 16-bit component into a bound buffer
patched the dword around it with a compare-exchange loop (writeBuffer
in SpirvRuntimeBuffer.cpp). Ghost of Yotei's light-culling compute
pass (program 0x800038be00, 240x135 groups per frame) stores millions
of such components per dispatch and took 426 ms of GPU time per
dispatch on an RTX 4070 Ti SUPER.
Compute stores now go through a byte view of the bound buffers
(buffers_u8, an aliased declaration of the buffers binding, defined
on the first narrow store): one OpStore per byte under
StorageBuffer8BitAccess, which the shader device profile already
requires. Without the capability, and in every other stage, the
compare-exchange path remains: the draw-time validator accepts only
u32 and u64 aliased views. Loads, dword stores and stores through
GPU-selected descriptors (BDA) are unchanged.
Ghost of Yotei (PPSA26344 02.002.000), Windows 11, RTX 4070 Ti SUPER,
logo phase: that dispatch 426 -> 10.7 ms of GPU time, 1.9 -> 11 fps.
agc_formatted_buffer_byte_stores compiles a formatted 8_8_8_8 store
as compute with and without StorageBuffer8BitAccess and as a vertex
shader with it, and checks the byte view, the byte stores, the
compare-exchange loops and the fallbacks. agc_driver_formatted_store_unaligned
executes 8- and 16-bit formatted stores at misaligned offsets,
including stores that cross a dword, and checks every byte of the
output including the untouched neighbours.

textureClearKeys reads the keys through a raw pointer, past the flush hook, so writes the
recorder holds for the key range are not in the bytes yet. A title that clears the keys of a
target with a kernel and samples it in the same batch had its keys read from the memory's
previous contents: in Palworld (PPSA23126) these were the float data of a reused heap, so the
keys read as mixed and the texels were read as stored.
When the keys read do not decode (not uncompressed, not a clear the format can fill),
WaitForKeyWriters answers from the pending fills and stores it knows, or waits for the batch
that writes the keys, and the keys are read again. Keys that decode are used as before.
RunSampledKeysBehindKernel (agc_driver_dcc_keys_first_write): key memory holding float bytes,
then the 0000 clear kernel recorded without a wait; the sampled texture's keys read Clear0000.

#4265 gives each fiber an mmap'd host stack on Linux and leaves Windows
as it was: there a fiber still runs host calls inside the context the
title passed to sceFiberInitialize. Demon's Souls packs its 16 KiB job
fiber contexts back to back. A job that calls
sceAgcCreateInterpolantMapping reaches shader preparation on the fiber
(Driver::ResolveShaderAbi, PrepareRegistered, the RDNA decoder,
BuildShaderStageInputInfo), goes more than 16 KiB deep and overwrites
the frames at the top of the context below it. On the loading screen
after the opening cinematic the fiber that owns that context then
failed the title's stack check, or returned to 0x7fffffff.
On Windows each fiber now gets a host stack from VirtualAlloc, the
context size plus 1 MiB, committed like the 1 MiB host margin of guest
threads, with a PAGE_NOACCESS page at the bottom. While the fiber runs,
the TIB stack base and limit and the deallocation stack describe that
host stack, as Windows does for its own fibers, so stack probes and
GetCurrentThreadStackLimits see the stack the fiber runs on. A host
stack that cannot be allocated, protected or released throws instead
of falling back to the context.
agc_driver_gpu_map_on_fiber: GetCurrentThreadStackLimits on a fiber now
returns its host stack, which has room for the import, so on Windows a
GPU mapping made on a fiber imports on the fiber's stack instead of a
host thread. The fiber's context is still not written.
Test: on Windows, fiber checks that the TIB stack bounds inside a fiber
cover its host stack, at least the context plus 256 KiB. With #4265
alone it fails at "the thread's stack bounds are the fiber's host
stack", and without that check at "a host call from a 16 KiB fiber
writes nothing below its context"; with this change fiber and
agc_driver_gpu_map_on_fiber pass (Windows Server 2025, RTX 3060,
WinLibs GCC 15.2.0, Release).
Demon's Souls (PPSA01342) on that host: at the loading screen the two
16 KiB job fibers above the overwritten one now use 17,592 and 16,936
bytes of their host stacks, the title's stack check no longer fails
there, and the load goes on until a separate Vulkan allocation failure
(vkAllocateMemory of a 4 MiB host-visible buffer, out of device memory).

image_sample_d and image_sample_cd on a cube pass their gradients through the
same conversion as the face coordinates, which subtracts 1.0 to move AMD's
[1, 2] face range to [0, 1]. A gradient is a difference of coordinates, so the
bias turned a one-texel gradient into one of about -1 and the sample read the
smallest mip. Gradients now skip the bias.
agc_driver_image_sample_cube_derivatives samples every face of a 16x16 cube at
five levels through image_sample_d and checks the level and face it read.
TechnicalDebt records that the gradient handling follows Mesa and was not
measured on hardware.
With float16DenormPreserve, EmitF16BitsToF32 rebuilds the bits of a NaN
half after UnpackHalf2x16, because NVIDIA returns the default NaN and
Intel quiets it. When every use of the converted operand is an f32
comparison or a NaN test, directly or through abs and neg, only whether
it is NaN matters, so the conversion returns UnpackHalf2x16's result as
is. v_cmp_*_f16 goes from 11.5 to 4 SASS on an RTX 4060.
agc_driver_f16_to_f32_unpack adds v_cmp_u_f16 and v_cmp_lt_f16 over all
65,536 halves with each decode the device supports. Its SPIR-V check
requires the v_cvt_f32_f16 conversion to rebuild the NaN bits and the
compared conversions not to.
TessellationLowering refused every domain-program read of the off-chip
ring outside its patch's control points, so domain programs that read
the hull's patch constants, like the quad terrain domain in Ghost of
Yotei at 0x8000 - 208 * (rel + 1), aborted.
Such reads now lower to a new PatchInput kind and become Patch inputs.
Hull outputs and domain inputs place a constant by its off-chip address
modulo the record stride, in a record-sized array at location
ceil(hsStride / 16); each program derives both on its own, so the two
interfaces match although they compile separately. Domain reads at an
address that does not move with the relative patch, across more than
one record or inside the control-point region still throw, as does a
domain program that reads patch constants but no control point. Hull
patch-constant writes now take the same bound: above the control points
of all NUM_PATCHES patches, not just one patch's.
TessellationLowering proved ring and LDS addresses affine over a
relative patch index of up to 256. A hull that lays its patch-constant
records out downwards, at 0x8000 - 208 * (rel + 1) like the quad
particle hull in Ghost of Yotei, then reached a negative address for
the last slot and aborted as "not affine". The relative patch index of
hull and domain programs stays below VGT_LS_HS_CONFIG.NUM_PATCHES
(bits 7:0, patches per threadgroup), which is 63 for that draw.
DecodeShaderStages now carries NUM_PATCHES as patchesPerGroup in the
tessellation configuration (draw keys, hull and domain cache keys,
recompile request version 22) and refuses zero, and the lowering bounds
the relative patch index by it. Configurations without it keep 256.
The kernel stores through the V# FORMAT; with an 8- or 16-bit format it writes 1 or 2 bytes per element, which a zero fill of the whole range would also clear between. Same check as MatchDwordPatternFill (format 20-22), with test rows.
