Problem: the Render Queue had no single-file uncompressed output, so
handing a render to an external encoder meant a lossy codec, ProRes,
or an image sequence plus a separate WAV.
Fix: add the "QuickTime (Uncompressed)" Output Module format. Frames
are stored as QuickTime 'raw ' samples: 8-bit RGB (depth 24, rows
padded to even bytes) or ARGB with RGB + Alpha (depth 32), written
through FilmCraft's existing QuickTime muxer with PCM audio
(16/24-bit or float) like ProRes. Format name `uncompressed` on the
control channel; disk-space estimate and Sample Format menu included.

Cause: pipeline::Cx rendered with Backend::Auto, which picks the CPU or the
GPU compositor for each top-level frame from measured frame times
(render::AutoPick: warm-up on both sides, a re-probe every 48 frames). The
two compositors differ slightly, so frames came out differently depending
on which side the timings favoured in that run, and two GPU exports of the
same frames differed.
Fix: the job renders every frame on the project's renderer, as After
Effects renders a job with one renderer: Backend::Gpu with Mercury GPU
Acceleration (frames the GPU declines still render on the CPU, as they do
in every GPU render), Backend::Cpu with Mercury Software Only. The viewer
and previews keep Auto. Docs (architecture, parity, web) say so.
Tests: render_settings::a_job_renders_on_one_compositor exports ten frames
with a stand-in GPU compositor that keeps Auto history and draws solid
green: with Mercury GPU Acceleration every frame is green and two runs are
identical (with Auto the warm-up sent frames to the CPU: it fails), with
Software Only the stand-in is never asked. The web worker GPU job test's
comment no longer describes Auto.

The Output Module offers 32 Bit Float for AIFF and the queue reports F32, but
audio_file silently wrote 24-bit PCM because plain AIFF has no float. Write
an AIFF-C file instead: FORM type AIFC, an FVER chunk (AIFC Version 1), and a
COMM chunk naming the fl32 compression type, with big-endian IEEE float
samples in SSND. 16- and 24-bit stay plain AIFF.

The EXR sequence writer and comp.saveFrameAsExr clamped colour to 0..1 before the sRGB decode, so a 32 bpc project lost every over-range value. The lower bound stays at 0 and alpha stays clamped. Tests cover Rgba and Rgb sequences and saveFrameAsExr.
AAC audio in an MP4/MOV whose sample rate differs from the mix rate
(a 44.1 kHz clip in the 48 kHz preview or export, or the reverse)
stuttered and sounded low-pitched in previews and in exported movies.
Cause: FilmCraft's MP4 reader, asked for audio at a rate other than
the file's, applied the edit list's priming offset (1024 samples for
AAC) twice when it resampled: each read started about 1024 source
samples early and extrapolated a ramp over its first ~940 samples
(peaks near 100 against a 0.5 tone). Export and the preview mix ask
for audio a frame or a device buffer at a time, so the ramp repeated
dozens of times a second. Same-rate reads take FilmCraft's copy path
and were exact. FilmCraft fixed this upstream in 5bf2203, 87 commits
past the pinned revision.
Fix: MediaPool reads footage audio at the source's own rate and
resamples it itself (linear, by absolute sample position, so a range
comes out the same however it is split into reads), for every
container.
Test: resampled_audio_read_in_frame_pieces_matches_ffmpeg (44.1 kHz
AAC read at 48 kHz and 48 kHz at 44.1 kHz in 29.97 fps frame pieces,
against ffmpeg's decode: max error 44 before, 0.002 after) and
movies_carry_resampled_footage_audio (a 29.97 fps comp with 44.1 kHz
AAC footage exported to MP4/AAC and MOV/PCM, decoded by ffmpeg: max
error 8.7 before, 0.03 / 0.002 after).

A frame whose last byte happened to match the superframe marker pattern
(0b110xxxxx, Annex B) was taken by decoders for a superframe with an
index at its end: ffmpeg rejected it ("Invalid le value at
frame_sizes[i]"), libvpx reported a corrupt frame, and later frames lost
their reference. In the reported WebM, 3 of 60 frames (10, 22, 24) ended
in 0xc8, 0xc0 and 0xca. The render still reported success.
Such frames now get a zero byte after the last tile; the last tile's
bool-coded data may end in zero padding (9.2.3).
Test: frames_never_end_in_a_superframe_marker encodes sequences until a
frame needs the padding, checks no frame ends in a marker byte, and that
the padded frames decode exactly with FilmCraft's decoder and with
ffmpeg (clean error log). It failed before ("96x64 q40 frame 22 ends in
0xde"). The ffmpeg IVF oracle is shared with the existing inter test.
Checked with the reporter's steps: 60/60 frames, no errors from ffmpeg's
vp9 or libvpx, RGB and RGB + Alpha.

Render Settings: field render with 3:2 pulldown phases, effects/solo/guide
layer/color depth/frame blending/motion blur overrides, custom time sampling
(duration), storage overflow through a quota hook. Output Module: crop
(edges or region of interest), resize (presets, lock aspect, quality),
straight/premultiplied/alpha-only channels, post-render actions, include
project link, audio channels and PCM formats, WebM bitrate and key frame
interval. Render Settings / Output Module templates with built-ins and
defaults per slot (Edit > Templates dialogs), render logs next to the
output, Notify on completion. All through renderQueue.* commands and
persisted in the project.

effectcraft-vp9enc gains inter frames: single LAST reference, 16x16/8x8 blocks,
candidate + diamond search refined to quarter samples with the regular 8-tap
filters, NEARESTMV/NEARMV/ZEROMV/NEWMV with spec MV prediction, skip blocks,
the in-loop deblocking filter, per-frame forward probability updates, a key
frame interval and target-bitrate rate control. Decoded output matches the
encoder's reconstruction exactly through FilmCraft's decoder and ffmpeg.
WebM export now encodes sequentially with a key frame every two seconds.

New L0 crate effectcraft-opusenc: clean-room RFC 6716 CELT-only encoder
(fullband 48 kHz, 20 ms packets, mono/stereo as dual L/R stereo, constant
packet size from the bitrate) with the RFC 7845 OpusHead and pre-skip.
Forward low-overlap MDCT, inter/intra coarse energy, fine/final energy,
the decoder's exact allocation, recursive band splitting, PVQ search and
codeword indexing, silence frames.
crates/export depends on it; filmcraft-opus (dev) is the round-trip oracle
in tests/opus_roundtrip.rs, with ffmpeg reading an in-test Ogg Opus file
as a second oracle when installed.

New L3 crate effectcraft-gpu: a wgpu compute backend for the per-frame
compositing walk (layer transforms with the CPU's nearest/bilinear/bicubic
sampling and minification pre-filter, motion-blur accumulation, track
mattes, Preserve Transparency, layer style passes and knockout, all 38
blend modes as a WGSL port of color::blend, 8/16 bpc clamp+quantise,
colour-space conversions). 3D runs, adjustment and wireframe layers run on
the CPU between GPU steps. GPU effects with the CPU semantics: Gaussian,
Fast Box and Directional Blur, Glow, Levels, Curves, Hue/Saturation, Tint,
Fill, Gradient Ramp, Fractal Noise, Drop Shadow, Brightness & Contrast,
Exposure, Invert, Transform (registry gpu badge from effects::GPU_EFFECTS).
render: Backend (Cpu/Gpu/Auto) in RenderOpts, the Accelerator trait and
Renderer::accel, GPU effect chains in the effect stack, hooks for the GPU
walk. Project setting gpu_acceleration (Mercury GPU Acceleration / Software
Only), render.backend command, file.projectSettings renderer. Session and
Render Queue exports carry the accelerator. CLI --gpu and bench --gpu.
Tests compare GPU vs CPU renders (blend modes x bit depths, transforms,
masks, mattes, motion blur, colour management, styles, collapse,
adjustment fallback, every GPU effect) and skip without an adapter.
