The 3D Camera Tracker analysis joins the offloaded jobs. The disk cache stays off in the
browser (std::env::temp_dir panics on wasm32 once a config store exists).

- Persistence: settings, shortcuts, recent projects, imported media, saved projects and
auto-saves live in OPFS (IndexedDB fallback) through an in-memory mirror flushed in the
background (apps/effectcraft-web/src/store.rs, persist.rs); ConfigStore gains FileOps so
auto-save / recovery work in the browser store; the session snapshot restores the last
project + editor state on reload; File > Open Recent works from storage.
- Audio: Web Audio output (AudioWorklet, ScriptProcessor fallback) fed by AudioPlayback::pump
on wasm32; A/V sync from AudioContext.currentTime; meters; unlock on first gesture.
- Background jobs: engine::offload (WorkerRequest/WorkerReply protocol, Offload trait,
run_request); Render Queue, tracker, mask tracker, Warp Stabilizer and Roto Freeze run in Web
Workers (a second engine instance on the shared compiled module), progress streamed back;
cancel terminates the worker.
- GPU: WebGPU viewer frames drawn straight from the compositor's texture (gpu_display on
wasm32 when the viewer draws plainly); async readback (Gpu::read_display_async) for pixels.
- PWA: manifest, service worker precaching the build (xtask fills list/version), icons copied
from assets/app-icon; COOP/COEP kept from cached responses; offline reload works.
- window.effectcraft: saveToBrowser, listStored, removeStored, flush; info() reports storage,
audio, gpu, workers.
- Tests: native store + protocol + offload (render, track, cancel) tests; smoke.mjs extended
(GPU path, worker render responsiveness, audio gesture + playback, reload persistence,
Open Recent, offline reload).

Native menu bar (apps/effectcraft, muda, macOS only): the engine's After Effects
menu tree mirrored into NSMenu through a pure, serializable spec
(ui-egui native_menu: submenus, separators, live labels, check marks, enabled
state, Cmd/Ctrl/function-key shortcuts as accelerators, Open Recent). Hide /
Hide Others / Show All are macOS' predefined items (app.hideOthers/app.showAll
are real commands now, via NSApplication); Services added; About, Settings and
Quit dispatch our commands. State is pushed only when the session revision,
selection, history, settings or journal change; structural changes rebuild.
Activations dispatch the same command ids as the in-window bar; Edit
Cut/Copy/Paste/Select All/Undo/Redo act on a focused text field. Settings >
Appearance > Use In-Window Menu Bar on macOS switches back.
Timeline: column visibility from the column header's context menu (A/V
Features, Keys, Label, #, Comment, Switches, Modes, Parent & Link, In, Out,
Duration, Stretch; Source/Layer Name toggle), Comment editing
(layer.setComment), draggable In/Out/Duration cells, Stretch opens Time
Stretch; property search filters layers and reveals matching properties with
their groups; Shift+P/S/R/T/A/E/M/F/L/U add to the revealed properties; UU
reveals all modified properties; Shift-drag in the ruler snaps the CTI to keys,
in/out points, markers and the work area. Commands: timeline.column,
timeline.sourceName, timeline.search, timeline.revealAdd.*.

New L0 crate effectcraft-opusenc: clean-room RFC 6716 CELT-only encoder
(fullband 48 kHz, 20 ms packets, mono/stereo as dual L/R stereo, constant
packet size from the bitrate) with the RFC 7845 OpusHead and pre-skip.
Forward low-overlap MDCT, inter/intra coarse energy, fine/final energy,
the decoder's exact allocation, recursive band splitting, PVQ search and
codeword indexing, silence frames.
crates/export depends on it; filmcraft-opus (dev) is the round-trip oracle
in tests/opus_roundtrip.rs, with ffmpeg reading an in-test Ogg Opus file
as a second oracle when installed.

Aux-channel model (effectcraft_raster::channels3d: depth, object/material
ID, normals, UV, coverage, Cryptomatte ranks + manifests, MurmurHash3);
EffectHost::aux; multi-layer OpenEXR channels via the exr crate
(FootageSource::aux); the compositor's depth / layer-ID / Cryptomatte pass
(Renderer::comp_aux) so the effects work on precomps of 3D comps.
3D Channel Extract, Cryptomatte, Depth Matte, Depth of Field, EXtractoR,
Fog 3D, ID Matte, IDentifier.

Liquify stores its strokes as effect data and replays them into a cached
displacement mesh; liquify.stroke / liquify.clear commands for agents.
Rolling Shutter Repair measures motion with effectcraft-track KLT (new
effects -> track same-layer edge).

New crate effectcraft-model (L2): glTF 2.0 (.gltf/.glb, data URIs, external buffers and
images, PBR metallic-roughness with base/MR/normal/occlusion/emissive textures, node
hierarchy, skins, step/linear/cubic animations) and OBJ/MTL import, parametric primitives,
extruded/bevelled outline meshes and polygon triangulation with holes.
Project: FootageKind::Model, LayerSource::Model/Primitive, Layer::environment, Geometry and
Material Options builders, Environment light Source. Media probes and loads models
(FootageSource::model). Engine: layer.newModel, layer.new3dPrimitive/newPrimitive,
comp.renderer, layer.environment, material.set/reset/duplicateAssign/revealSource (stubs
replaced); File > Import and layer.addItem pick up models. Hand-written fixtures with
attribution sidecars.

Auto backend keeps comps with 3D layers on the CPU compositor (3D runs are
still CPU-composited; the GPU round-trip made them slower).
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Region-of-interest frames render on the CPU path; the viewer keeps main's
frame drawing (Show Channel, exposure, ROI) and reads GPU-composited frames
back. Keeping frames as native egui-wgpu textures stays implemented behind
RenderSource::gpu_display (off).

Library groundwork for mask tracking (MSK-3) and the Warp Stabilizer (TRK-2),
clean-room from published methods:
- track::klt: Shi-Tomasi corners, pyramidal Lucas-Kanade with forward-backward check
- track::fit: RANSAC + least-squares translation/scale/similarity/affine/homography
- track:😷 MaskTracker following the pixels inside a mask outline per frame
- track::stabilize: incremental clip analysis (serde WarpAnalysis), Gaussian path
smoothing (Matsushita 2006), No Motion, preserve scale, crop / auto-scale with
max-scale relaxation
- path::interp: Mask Interpolation correspondence (arc-length vertex insertion,
shape-context matching) and rigid/linear in-betweens
Engine commands, UI and the effect itself are not wired yet (stubs unchanged).

New L3 crate effectcraft-gpu: a wgpu compute backend for the per-frame
compositing walk (layer transforms with the CPU's nearest/bilinear/bicubic
sampling and minification pre-filter, motion-blur accumulation, track
mattes, Preserve Transparency, layer style passes and knockout, all 38
blend modes as a WGSL port of color::blend, 8/16 bpc clamp+quantise,
colour-space conversions). 3D runs, adjustment and wireframe layers run on
the CPU between GPU steps. GPU effects with the CPU semantics: Gaussian,
Fast Box and Directional Blur, Glow, Levels, Curves, Hue/Saturation, Tint,
Fill, Gradient Ramp, Fractal Noise, Drop Shadow, Brightness & Contrast,
Exposure, Invert, Transform (registry gpu badge from effects::GPU_EFFECTS).
render: Backend (Cpu/Gpu/Auto) in RenderOpts, the Accelerator trait and
Renderer::accel, GPU effect chains in the effect stack, hooks for the GPU
walk. Project setting gpu_acceleration (Mercury GPU Acceleration / Software
Only), render.backend command, file.projectSettings renderer. Session and
Render Queue exports carry the accelerator. CLI --gpu and bench --gpu.
Tests compare GPU vs CPU renders (blend modes x bit depths, transforms,
masks, mattes, motion blur, colour management, styles, collapse,
adjustment fallback, every GPU effect) and skip without an adapter.

Type tool point/box text creation, double-click editing, caret and selection
in the viewer (viewer_text.rs), keyboard/IME/clipboard, box handles; engine
text.edit/endEdit/setSelection/moveCaret/insert/delete, layer.setText range,
caret insertion style, Paste Text and Match Formatting / Paste Text
Formatting Only (stubs removed); Character/Paragraph/Properties panels act
on the selection.

- assets/app-icon/: master and light SVGs, 1024 px PNG, .icns (Apple grid), .ico (16-256),
hicolor 16-512 + scalable, LICENSE.txt, README with palette (#e0368f / #efe9dc / #0b0b0c),
tile geometry and provenance; attribution sidecars + ATTRIBUTION.md rows.
- packaging/icons.sh regenerates everything with resvg, iconutil and the new `cargo xtask ico`.
- Runtime icon via ViewportBuilder::with_icon (padded variant on macOS) and Wayland app ID
ai.storyteller.effectcraft; packaging/linux/ai.storyteller.effectcraft.desktop.
- apps/effectcraft/build.rs embeds the .ico and VERSIONINFO into effectcraft.exe (winresource,
Windows targets only; a missing resource compiler is a warning).
- Web favicon.svg is now the unicorn icon.

New crate effectcraft-lottie (L3): export a comp to Lottie JSON / dotLottie
(precomp and base64 image assets; shape, solid, null, precomp, image and text
layers or glyph shapes; transforms with parenting, separated position,
anchor; keyframes with speed/influence converted to normalised i/o tangents,
hold keys, spatial ti/to; all shape items incl. gradients, dashes, trim,
repeater and path operators; masks, track mattes, blend modes, time remap,
timing, markers, optional expressions, a few Lottie effects) with a warnings
list for what Lottie cannot express, and the inverse import. Commands
file.exportLottie / file.importLottie with File > Export / Import entries.
Round-trip tests (values and rendered frames) and hand-written fixtures.

New L2 crate effectcraft-track: per-point feature/search region tracking with
pyramid normalized cross-correlation and Lucas-Kanade (similarity + gain/bias)
sub-pixel refinement, confidence, adapt/stop/extrapolate/continue actions,
RGB/luminance/saturation channels, blur/enhance pre-processing, and
homography/affine/similarity solves.
Project: Motion Trackers > Tracker n > Track Point n property tree
(GroupKind::Tracker with type, target and options). Engine: track.* commands

Animation ▸ Animate Text (Enable Per-character 3D, every animator property,
Fill/Stroke Color RGB/Hue/Saturation/Brightness/Opacity submenus, Line Anchor,
Character Value), Add Text Selector ▸ Range/Wiggly/Expression (text.addSelector
now supports all kinds) and Text Animation Presets after Browse Presets, in the
engine menu tree. Stubs replaced: text.perCharacter3d, animatorLineAnchor,
animatorCharacterValue, addWigglySelector, addExpressionSelector.

Also: render uses web_time::Instant in layer styles; renderQueue.add documents
its render-settings/output-module keys so checked execution accepts them (+test).
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
- apps/effectcraft-web (L6): eframe web runner booting the shared EffectcraftApp with a browser
session: in-memory file table, <input type=file> pickers and drag-and-drop for open/import,
downloads for Save and Render Queue outputs (several files as one stored .zip), and the
window.effectcraft promise API over the control channel. Demo project on start.
- wasm32 runtime fixes: web-time for Instant/SystemTime (render, engine, export, ui-egui);
Frames renders queued jobs on the UI thread (Frames::pump) instead of a thread pool;
Render Queue runs inline; relative outputs resolve under / ; control PNGs inline.
- effectcraft-export: per-job output Sink (files to memory instead of disk); host FileExporter
carries it; test that sink exports touch no file.
- xtask web [--dev] [--serve PORT] (wasm-bindgen 0.2.129, optional wasm-opt, COOP/COEP server);
effectcraft-web in WEB_CRATES. docs/web.md, headless Chrome smoke test, favicon (+attribution).

Resolve conflicts; register playback.audio (Composition > Preview > Audio)
as a real frontend command replacing its stub; layer_at uses content_buf.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
- Audio effects (Backwards, Bass & Treble, Delay, Flange & Chorus,
High-Low Pass, Modulator, Parametric EQ, Reverb, Stereo Mixer, Tone)
applied per layer in the comp mixdown, so export and preview share them.
RBJ-cookbook biquads, Schroeder/Moorer reverb, modulated delay lines;
stateless per block via pre-roll. Tone makes any layer audible.
- Real-time audio preview: ui-egui AudioFeed/AudioPlayback (feeder thread
mixing ahead) behind an AudioDevice hook; the desktop app implements it
with cpal (L6). Audio clock drives playback (consumed frames minus device
latency, looped through the work area). Preview panel Include Audio /
playback.muteAudio.
- Audio panel VU meters with peak hold and clip indicators; selected
layer's Audio Levels.
- Timeline Audio > Waveform for footage with audio (L reveals Audio
Levels, LL the Waveform), drawn from a cached per-item peak summary.
- ui.playback reports audio state and meter levels.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
- Integrate main (render queue, timeline/keys, time remap, masks/pen, 3D, MCP/CLI).
- Menu tree now runs renderQueue.add, layer.enableTimeRemap, layer.timeReverse,
layer.freezeFrame/OnLastFrame, prop.separateDimensions, mask.setClosed,
layer.cameraSettings, view.3d.* / view.3d.last / view.reset3DView, main's
layer.autoOrient and keyframe velocity/interpolation/time-stretch dialogs;
matching stubs deleted (view.3d.default stays disabled).
- Keyframe clipboard is main's (keys.copy/paste); Paste Reversed Keyframes
reuses it. Animation-menu commands moved to commands/animation.rs.
- Main's spec menu paths/labels aligned with AE (Camera Settings under
Layer > Camera, "..." labels, Freeze On Last Frame).
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Range selector complete (units, based on, modes, shapes, smoothness, ease
high/low, randomize), Wiggly and Expression selectors combined by mode;
all AE animator properties incl. line anchor, character offset/value,
skew axis, tracking type, fill/stroke HSB+opacity, blur; More Options
(anchor grouping, fill & stroke order, inter-character blending); Path
Options (text on a mask path); per-character 3D rendered as planes in
the 3D compositor; text animation commands and original presets.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Resolve conflicts with perf (layer cache / Arc<Buf>), export (RenderOpts.view: None
for output), timeline (separate dimensions + one-node POI visibility), mask/pen
viewer gestures (alongside camera tools and view-aware layer matrices), key
dialogs (alongside Camera/Light Settings), render queue + MCP command modules.
3D path tangent honours separated position; DOF blurs a per-frame copy so cached
layer buffers stay shared. New test: cached renders match uncached after camera,
focus, light and 3D view changes. Fix a clone-on-copy lint from main.
