With Windows set to show no animations (Settings ▸ Accessibility ▸ Visual
effects ▸ Animation effects), dialogs and menus still faded in and wheel
input glided. All of that motion is egui's default behaviour, and nothing
asked the operating system.
- crates/ui-egui/src/animation.rs: AnimationPref (System, On, Off). Off sets
egui's animation_time to 0 and scroll_animation to none (window, menu,
tooltip and popup fades, collapsing sections, scroll bars, scroll-to
glides), hands each wheel notch to scroll areas whole, and lets
Cmd/Ctrl+wheel zoom reach its zoom in one step.
- System, the default, follows the OS live: UISettings::AnimationsEnabled on
Windows, NSWorkspace's Reduce motion on macOS, the XDG Desktop Portal's
reduced-motion (then GNOME's enable-animations) on Linux and the BSDs,
prefers-reduced-motion on the web.
- View ▸ Accessibility ▸ Animation Effects ▸ Use System Setting / On / Off,
the same choice in Options ▸ Display, and `ui.animations`, `options` and
`ui.set` {"animations"}; `ui.inspect` reports whether animations show.
Drafting behaviour is untouched: tracking's acquisition pause, the
time-sensitive right-click, previews, the caret blink, realtime pan and
zoom. Plain wheel zoom already moved a whole notch per frame (#692).
macOS and Linux are compile-checked (clippy -D warnings for
aarch64-apple-darwin and x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu), not run.

A render of a large drawing (a set of sheets in model space) fits every
sheet in one image, too small to read. `render` takes `window`
[[x0,y0],[x1,y1]]: just that area, 1600 px wide with the window's shape
unless sized (the app's and the headless `ui.render` both; the display list
is built for that view only). `View::of_window` sizes it.
`find_text` (engine command `texts`, read-only) returns the readable text of
TEXT, MTEXT (formatting removed), block attributes and multileaders with
insertion point, height, rotation, style, layer and handle, filtered by
content, layer and a window. FIND selects and can replace; this only
reports, so an agent can find room names, sheet numbers and titles without
reading all the geometry.
On a 39,600-object permit set: 5,861 texts in 0.02 s; one 90 x 59.4 sheet
rendered at 2400 x 1584 in 0.5 s.

Add the 238 rows that still fell back to English, taking the catalog to
1,231 rows: it now covers the reference catalog and every marked UI
literal (commands, menus, tool groups and tooltips, object snaps,
drafting prompts, dialogs and Preferences), so the i18n tests report no
remaining gaps for pt-BR.
The translations follow the terminology already used in the catalog
(cota, hachura, camada, pinça, janela gráfica, referência a objetos) and
preserve placeholders ({n}, {name}) and trailing ellipses exactly.
Also add a bundled-font glyph test for the catalog's accented letters,
mirroring the German and Ukrainian ones, and record the completion in
docs/localization-parity.md (status line and revision history) and
docs/localization.md.
Written from CADCraft's English strings; no proprietary localization
resources were copied.
